Two years ago, it was all about nail art. 

Intricate designs painstakingly painted with tiny brushes and dotting tools adorned the the nails of celebrities and mere civilians alike.

Fast forward to today, and nails have gone back to basics, with bold colours and luxe finishes elbowing out finicky artwork.

Recent red carpet events have revealed some breakout talon trends as luxe look colours make their comeback.
