A teenage bride was left in floods of tears after hotel staff cut into her wedding cake on her big day and found it had gone mouldy.
Rachael Goodman, 18, from Stockton, paid £115 for the three-tier sponge when she tied the knot with Chris, 24, at the Sporting Lodge, Low Land, Middlesbrough last Saturday.
The mother-of-one had been talking about her dream wedding for months, telling her fiance: 'I want that cake!'

Rachael said she had sent a picture of the cake she wanted to Guisborough-based Mandy Barber's Cakes Of Elegance via Facebook.
And Rachael's mother Angela Green and mother-in-law helped cover the cost for the couple.
However, when the evening celebrations at their wedding - for which their 17-month-old daughter Lillie Jane was a bridesmaid - began, the couple struggled to cut the 'hard' cake.
